Proposed Capital Project
Dear School Community Member,

On Tuesday, March 14, 2017, the Fallsburg Central School District will ask voters to decide on a $15.9 million capital improvement project that addresses energy efficiency as well as health and safety renovations district-wide.

At the Junior-Senior high school and the Elementary school there will be security upgrades which will include entrance vestibules. There will be bathroom renovations and exterior site improvements including the outdoor track and the practice fields. The HVAC upgrades will continue our quest to improve student comfort and thermal efficiency.

At the Junior-Senior high school the gymnasium floor, bleachers, and windows will be replaced. The pool renovation, a centerpiece of this capital project, will include the replacement of a new tiled deck, a new pool liner and plumbing upgrades.

Ultimately, the will of the people will determine how this project moves forward and how we address our facility issues.

On behalf of the Fallsburg Central School District Board of Education, I thank you for taking the time to watch the building project video below. We look forward to hearing from you as we approach the March 14th vote. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Dr. Ivan Katz
Superintendent of Schools

Winners All Four Fallsburg Robotics Teams Compete in Northern NYS Championship
Congratulations to all four Fallsburg Robotics Teams who earned the right to compete in the Northern New York State Robotics Championships this past weekend. All four teams did an excellent job at the competition, and made it into the finals. But it was our middle school teams that really put on a show!

Oliver and Kai improved their overall skills score to 19, and are currently ranked first amongst all New York State middle school teams.

Landen and Aiden stunned the competition by taking second place in their division of mostly high school teams and coming within two matches of qualifying for the world championships! However, their exceptional game play and team work really wowed the judges and the crowd and earned them the tournament sportsmanship award.

Varsity Cheerleaders Congratulations Varsity Cheerleaders
Congratulations to the Fallsburg Varsity Cheerleading team for coming in 3rd place at the Section 9 Cheerleading Championships this weekend at Sullivan County Community College. The girls worked hard all season cheering for girls and boys basketball teams and practicing for competitions while maintaining their school work.
