The Fallsburg Central School District is proud to announce Ms. Carlye Bertholf as their new Assistant Director of Pupil Personnel.
Ms. Bertholf previously served as a Special Education teacher at the Fallsburg Junior-Senior High School since 2010. She was among several teachers at Fallsburg that participated in the district’s Grow Our Own administrative internship program, which allows teachers to explore a potential career in an administrative role.
Despite being a part of the internship, she stated that she was much more content with remaining as a teacher. However, she was reminded by fellow colleagues that she could make a significant impact as an administrator. When the opportunity was presented to her, she took advantage.
When asked about her long-term goals in her new role, she hopes to build on the many programs the department has to offer and share with the school community all of the important things it can offer. “I’m hoping to be more of an educational leader and grow the programs that are already here,” said Ms. Bertholf.
