On May 13, 2023, the Fallsburg Central School District hosted a Spring Family Engagement Day.
The free-of-charge event was filled with a variety of fun and family-friendly festivities. There were inflatable bounce houses for children, arcade games, sporting competitions, face painting, and gift raffles.
Many members of the Fallsburg CSD community volunteered their time to support this wonderful event. The Benjamin Cosor Elementary PTA brought their own popcorn machine and prepared a seed planting activity for children. The high school art, Key, Interact, robotics, and Leo’s clubs showcased their projects and offered a variety of engaging activities for attendees. High school students supervised the concession stations and helped with clean-up efforts.
Advocacy organizations from throughout the region participated as well. Many distributed brochures and educational materials, but Sullivan 180 brought their blender bike, which is a bicycle that powers an attached blender through peddling, for attendees to ride.
Cafeteria staff provided food and drinks for this occasion, but was given a helping hand by Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Ivan Katz, who volunteered to work the grill.
The Fallsburg Central School District wishes to extend their gratitude to all attendees and volunteers for making this event a huge success.

El evento gratuito estuvo lleno de una variedad de festividades divertidas y familiares. Hubo casas inflables para niños, juegos de arcade, competencias deportivas, pintura de caras y rifas de regalos.
Muchos miembros de la comunidad de Fallsburg CSD ofrecieron su tiempo para apoyar este maravilloso evento. La PTA de la Primaria Benjamín Cosor trajo su propia máquina de palomitas de maíz y preparó una actividad de siembra de semillas para los niños. Los clubes de arte, Key, Interact, robótica y Leo de la escuela secundaria exhibieron sus proyectos y ofrecieron una variedad de actividades interesantes para los asistentes. Los estudiantes de secundaria supervisaron las estaciones de concesión y ayudaron con los esfuerzos de limpieza.
También participaron organizaciones de defensa de toda la región. Muchos distribuyeron folletos y materiales educativos, pero Sullivan 180 trajo su bicicleta licuadora, que es una bicicleta que impulsa una licuadora adjunta a través de la venta ambulante, para que los asistentes la monten.
El personal de la cafetería proporcionó alimentos y bebidas para esta ocasión, pero el Superintendente de Escuelas, el Dr. Ivan Katz, se ofreció como voluntario para trabajar en la parrilla.
