The Fallsburg Central School District is excited to announce its newest assistant principal, Kimberly Patete.

In addition to being a graduate of the Tri-Valley Central School District, she also served as a teacher for the district since 2012. She was also briefly the school’s interim assistant principal last year.

When asked about her most significant accomplishments as an educator, she shared that she played a crucial role in introducing more science-based extracurricular programs to elementary students. One program in particular was hydroponics, which is a method of growing plants without the use of soil. Her initiative to bring new ideas allowed for teachers to grow in their confidence and students to become more excited about learning.

Her first set of priorities is to help guide students in a positive direction that directly meets their needs. She believes that the school culture, which prioritizes deep community bonds, will help her make a significant impact.

“I’ve been welcomed with open arms and people have been wonderful,” said Ms. Patete. “I love seeing everybody’s smiling face and I am beyond excited to be here.”
