Dear school community member:
Hello everyone and welcome to the Superintendent’s Corner! My name is Ivan Katz and I am the very proud superintendent of the Fallsburg Central School District.
As we are fully immersed in this exciting school year, I would like to share a few brief updates with you.
Our exciting 21st Century After-school program offerings began on October 13th in both buildings. There are so many wonderful opportunities available in the elementary and junior-senior high schools that there should be something for everyone. Snacks are also available for the various clubs and teams we host because learning and having fun can make you hungry. Students are encouraged to tap into this goldmine of after-school opportunities!
Our building project planning continues as we prepare for construction to begin this coming June and concluding the summer of 2028. Highlights of that work will include new driveways and parking lots as well as heating and air-conditioning upgrades to both buildings.
Our annual Fall Family Engagement Day is right around the corner! It will take place on November 14th from 11:00 AM through 2:00 PM at the Junior-Senior High School. Please join us for this festive event that has games, food, prizes and fun for all.
At this time, I would also like to take the opportunity to introduce you to the district’s new Public Relations Specialist, Kaylee Armida. Ms. Armida began her tenure here at Fallsburg earlier this month and is getting acclimated to the district as we speak. Kaylee has been specializing in Public Relations and Marketing over the past few years and is very excited to be working in the District to showcase the great things happening in and out of our classrooms.
