Going the Distance: Fallsburg Cross Country Recognizes Four Seniors

Every mile tells a story, and for four Fallsburg Central School District cross country seniors, their journeys as Comets are filled with determination, growth, and memories that extend far beyond the finish line.
On Wednesday, October 7, the Fallsburg Boys' and Girls' Varsity Cross Country teams celebrated Senior Night, recognizing four student-athletes who have dedicated their time and energy to a sport that demands both physical endurance and mental strength.
This year's seniors include Jozyr McNeil, Eric Moocz, Robert Perrera, and Alisha Tremper, each recognized for their contributions to the Fallsburg cross country program.
For cross country runners, success isn't always measured by a place on the podium. It's found in the early practices, the miles logged in preparation for a meet, the determination to push through a challenging course, and the personal satisfaction of crossing the finish line.
Under the guidance of Head Coach Loren Saint-Vil, Fallsburg's runners have learned that progress takes patience, consistency, and a willingness to challenge themselves.
Senior Night offered an opportunity to celebrate those efforts and recognize the commitment these four athletes have made to their sport and school.
While their time competing as Fallsburg students may be drawing to a close, the lessons learned along the course will continue to serve them long after graduation.
Cross country is a sport that teaches athletes to keep moving forward, even when the path gets difficult. For these four seniors, that determination will undoubtedly carry them into whatever comes next.
To Jozyr, Eric, Robert, and Alisha: Congratulations on your Senior Night celebration! Thank you for representing Fallsburg with dedication and Comet pride.
The finish line may mark the end of a race, but for these seniors, it's just the beginning of their next journey.
