The annual breakfast at a local diner—this year at Liberty Diner—dates back to 1984. The one year that it was not held was 2021 because of the Covid pandemic.

Twenty-five former teachers and staff were happy to greet each other and share updates on families and other retirees that were unable to attend. Robin Pantel welcomed the group as she accepted the organizing reins from Eileen Kalter, who was “retiring” from the role that she handled so capably for countless years.

Lots of smiles and engaged conversation filled the bright late summer morning. The Town of Fallsburg is grateful to each of these people and their colleagues for the many, many years of service to the children and the community.
