JSHS Hope Squad Wins $1,000 in Sullivan 180 EHG Contest

On September 24, 2025, members of the Fallsburg Junior-Senior High School Hope Squad won two prizes during Sullivan 180's Empowering a Healthier Generation Contest. They were named recipients of the Youth Champions for Wellness and Mental Health Turtle awards, both of which amounted to a $500 cash prize. 

Hope Squad is a peer support organization that advocates for youth suicide prevention and mental health programs. Students who are nominated to serve in Hope Squad are tasked at detecting early warning signs of suicide and offering mental health resources to students. 

The Fallsburg Hope Squad chapter has done tremendous work in advocating for youth mental health and shaping the lives of countless students. Their efforts have certainly not gone unnoticed. The district wishes to congratulate them on their significant achievement!
