Andrew Bensimon and Douglas Medina Carcamo Jr. Named Class of 2026 Valedictorian and Salutatorian
The Fallsburg Central School District is proud to announce its Class of 2026 valedictorian, Andrew Bensimon, and salutatorian, Douglas Medina Carcamo Jr. Andrew and Douglas will graduate with overall grade point averages of 99.60 and 99.10 respectively.
Upon graduation, Andrew plans to attend Pace University, where he will major in English. At Fallsburg, he was an active member of Drama Club, even serving as its president for some time. He was also involved in the school’s robotics team, junior math team, and Dungeon’s & Dragon’s club. He also served as a class representative and Chief Justice of the Student Government Association. In his free time, he enjoys Pokémon, acting, and analyzing film and literature.
Douglas is currently undecided on his college choice, but has expressed interest in attending SUNY Stony Brook and SUNY Oneonta. However, he plans to study Biology. Douglas was a member of the school’s varsity golf, soccer, and volleyball teams. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer and video games with his friends.
The Fallsburg Central School District congratulates Mr. Bensimon and Mr. Medina Carcamo Jr. on their outstanding achievements and wishes them continued success in all their future endeavors.
El Distrito Escolar Central de Fallsburg se enorgullece en anunciar a los mejores estudiantes de su Clase de 2026: el *valedictorian*, Andrew Bensimon, y el *salutatorian*, Douglas Medina Carcamo Jr. Andrew y Douglas se graduarán con promedios generales de calificaciones de 99.60 y 99.10, respectivamente.
Tras su graduación, Andrew planea asistir a la Universidad Pace, donde se especializará en Inglés. En Fallsburg, fue un miembro activo del Club de Teatro, llegando incluso a ejercer como su presidente durante un tiempo. También participó en el equipo de robótica de la escuela, en el equipo juvenil de matemáticas y en el club de *Dungeons & Dragons*. Asimismo, se desempeñó como representante de su clase y como Juez Principal de la Asociación de Gobierno Estudiantil. En su tiempo libre, disfruta de Pokémon, la actuación y el análisis de cine y literatura.
Douglas aún no ha decidido a qué universidad asistirá, pero ha expresado interés en ingresar a SUNY Stony Brook o a SUNY Oneonta. No obstante, tiene previsto estudiar BiologÃa. Douglas fue miembro de los equipos universitarios de golf, fútbol y voleibol de la escuela. En su tiempo libre, disfruta jugando al fútbol y a videojuegos con sus amigos.
