The film offers solutions on how to help kids navigate the digital world. Screen time crosses into all aspects of kids' lives. In addition to the screening of the film, the event will also feature vendor tables which will exhibit activities and community organizations that offer screen free activities as well as a panel discussion post film.
The panel will feature experts from a variety of community businesses including Dr. David Morcos, Primary Care Physician from Catskill Regional Medical Group; Barbi Neumann-Marty, Senior Unit Director, Boys & Girls Clubs of Sullivan and Northern Orange County; Jill Hubert-Simon, Public Health Educator, Public Health Services of Sullivan County; and Lesia Snihura, Director, Youth Bureau of Sullivan County. The discussions will center on health figures and statistics, screen time limitations, suggested activities and much more.
Screenfree week 2019 is happening April 29-May 5, 2019. Communities around the United States plan to unplug from digital entertainment and spend all that free time playing, reading, creating, exploring, and connecting with family and friends. For more ideas as to how to go screen free, visit
