Fallsburg Jr/Sr High School has been actively involved in Today’s Students, Tomorrow’s Teachers (TSTT) for over ten years. Four of the graduates of this program that encourages young people to go into teaching and possibly come back to teach at their own high school are proud to have been hired in the FCSD over the past three years. At the Awards Brunch for the Mid-Hudson Valley Region on May 9, 2019 one of these graduates, English as a New Language Teacher Ms. Isabel Mejia, spoke about TSTT helping her to fulfill the dream of teaching seventh grade at her alma mater.
During the ceremonies, TSTT honored two seniors from Fallsburg, Jessica Martinez Cadena and Wendy Campos Barrera. On hand to celebrate these and the other students in the program were Superintendent Dr. Ivan Katz and Assistant Superintendent Dr. Matthew Evans, who helped bring TSTT to the District. To accompany and support the seventeen Fallsburg students were their advisors Ms. Colleen Keaveney and Ms. Ruth Meaker.
The TSTT Mid-Hudson Valley Region Program Managers Mary and Barry Greynolds organized this third annual recognition brunch.
