Public Health Press Release Follow-up

January 10, 2022

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Below is information that I have received from Sullivan County Public Health regarding some questions that have come up since their press release this past weekend.

The current guidance and flowchart Sullivan County Public Health issued for the general public (see below), applies to everyone and is consistent with CDC Guidance for K-12 schools. This became effective today, January 10, 2022.

Test to stay (TTS), which we are just beginning to explore, is a different set of voluntary guidelines for schools planning to implement TTS.

If we choose to implement Test to Stay, there may be a small portion eligible for Test-to-Stay, as that guidance is specific to exposures in the school setting .

For now, we will follow the general guidance and flowchart as it is applicable to all.

Fully vaccinated and boosted applies to everyone (students and staff) as soon as they are eligible. They are considered fully vaccinated and do not need to be quarantined if exposed (if they are not yet eligible for a booster).

If there are any changes or updates, I will keep you posted.

Thank you for your attention.
